Associate's Degree in electronics, computer science or related technical discipline is required; Bachelor's Degree is desired.
Valid Driver’s License is needed.
Ability to travel (>60%).
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Working knowledge of networking, hospital information systems, and DICOM or PACS systems is desired.
Experience working with and troubleshooting video display, video routing systems, and video conferencing systems is necessary.
Experience working with and troubleshooting audio mixing, music and communications systems is desired.
Must be a self-starter, able to travel and work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities and scheduling work activities.
Must have an ability to resolve problems, think analytically and communicate professionally in high pressure, time sensitive, customer environments.
Basic understanding of video, audio and control system concepts is a must.
Must have an ability to read and understand video, audio and control flow diagrams for the purpose of system maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and Power Point is essential.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Solid working knowledge of electronics, personal computer hardware and software, and LAN concepts is desired.
Remote access/VPN experience is essential.
Proven ability to work under pressure is necessary.
Must have an ability to articulate technical and user needs in a concise manner easily understood by all.
Must have an ability to work with field personnel, management and customers.
*Demonstrated decision making ability towards solving problems, and effectively communicate these solutions to co‑workers and customers is essential.
- Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and presentation are desired.

As a Field Service Engineer working on the Image Stream/Olympus team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. You will contribute to our mission by providing our customers with the best support over all of our products, and the dedication to resolving issues in a timely manner. A typical day for you will include:
Establishing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with ISM products, support and service.
Responding to customer inquiries, maintain a good customer service reputation by complying with all regulatory requirements and all aspects of ISM quality system.
Training customers on the basic operation and use of ISM products.
Providing feedback concerning product questions, workflow issues, performance anomalies encountered in the field, and make recommendations for service improvements.
Performing trial run of systems to ensure performance meets the established specifications.
Escalating customer issues and unresolved product problems to service management in a comprehensive and timely manner.
Opening communication with local ISM Sales Representatives.
Providing support at conventions, trade shows and customer trials.
Participating in Customer site visits ensuring a successful outcome.
Performing all other essential duties as assigned.

The Field Engineer services and maintains all Image Stream Medical (ISM) products. Under minimal supervision, the incumbent will inspect, service, repair and provide expert level technical support to ISM branded equipment. He/She will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance visits.
