The Supply Chain Analyst works with U.S. supply chain management to ensure materials ordered or fabricated are in stock to meet company goals for customer on-time delivery for both factory shipments and field service, while maintaining optimal inventory levels to achieve company goals for days on hand. The incumbent develops material schedules and works with materials management to coordinate the efficient movement of materials through the end-to-end supply chain. He/She reviews and analyzes current inventory levels and material sourcing commitments against forecasted sales, past sales performance, production and supplier quality performance to project anticipated future material requirements for purchasing and fabricated materials. The incumbent may prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems. He/She works with corporate finance to establish inventory reserve levels and with inventory management to disposition excess and obsolete materials. The incumbent may assist in the establishment and maintenance of the master production scheduling, safety stock levels and the production control system.
A typical day for you will include:
Working with product management, supply chain, materials management, planning, production, management, production engineering, quality, commercial operations and service to optimize inventory levels.
Using a data driven, analytical approach.
Collaborating across all U.S. manufacturing and service locations.
Devising sourcing plans that incorporate all influences on material demand, supplier and factory performance.
Communicating up and across the organization, effectively educating stakeholders on strategies and plans for inventory optimization.
Reacting to variation of the dynamic business environment in both real time and the effect on strategies. This includes large order possibilities reported by product management.
Exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results in inventory availability, days on hand and liability.
Supporting Corporate and Local policies and processes.
Supporting a Lean Six Sigma strategy for continuous improvement.
Six Sigma Green Belt
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Functional knowledge of supplier processes.
Work under minimal supervision with the demonstrated ability to establish priorities, plan workload and establish commitments for task completion.
Functional knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Ability to use Excel, Power BI, and SQL to perform analysis on complex data sets.
Experience with R & R Studio or MiniTab.
Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Supply Chain or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.
